Animated Series (Crash Course)
Born out of a collaboration for Crash Course’s series Outbreak Science, we have worked closely with MIT & Harvard’s Broad Institute on a number of different projects since 2021, bridging the gap between the high-level academic work of their team and to a broader audience.
In 15 episodes, host Pardis Sabeti explores all aspects of an outbreak, from the scientific mechanisms to the societal impacts. Throughout all Crash Course series, all scientific and technical illustrations are created with the utmost accuracy, and always with the collaboration and approval of the subject matter experts with whom we work closely and regularly. The videos also demonstrate a strong and unique sense of branding through elements such as colour, type sequences, and stylized photographic references.

Journal Covers
Thanks to a seamless partnership on the two aforementioned projects, the Broad Institute has connected us with a number of their scholars to create journal cover submissions for the likes of Nature Medicine and Cell.
Textbook
Approaching its final publication, we’ve been working with the Sabeti Lab team to design and illustrate the Operation Outbreak textbook, a 15-chapter an introductory and interdisciplinary look at scientific and social factors affecting outbreaks. Our unique textbook design is accompanied by dozens of illustrations per chapter reviewed and approved by the lab’s team of experts.
